Tea Dynasty is created under Kcuytoh Import & Export by Barry Beltz in 2013. Great Lakes Fireworks was created by Barry Beltz in 1994. It was during subsequent visits to purchase fireworks in China beginning in 2002 that my taste for tea was developed. Many factories were visited and I was introduced to various teas in those times. As friendships developed I was exposed to tea rooms and the Chinese Gong Fu style of tea making. I learned much about the Chinese culture and people. I visited many tea markets and in Shenzhen met my future tea teacher. In 2015 I studied with her and was taught about making various teas and the long rich cultural histories that go along with particular teas and the regions the teas come from. I have visited Lion’s Peak and experienced some of the finest Longjing teas and last spring I visited Yunnan Province where I picked and cooked Pu-erh tea on Jing Mai, Jing Hong and Jing Gu mountains. Dai minority people are the dominant population and their culture is rich with embroidered tapestries, silver jewelry with handmade embroidery, and their traditional song and dance. It was a truly wonderful experience.
The Gong Fu tea experience promotes serenity and peacefulness. It calms the mind and body. Tea is very healthy containing vitamins C, B1, B2, B3, B5, B11, H and elements such as calcium, selenium, manganese and zinc. My desire is to promote the cultural experience of Gong Fu tea making and the health benefits of drinking tea to more people throughout the USA.
